Living a Mentally Healthier Life
As a Clinical Mental Health Counselor in Training, my work is rooted in the belief that each individual’s path to growth is deeply personal. No two journeys are the same, and the way we process life’s lessons is unique to who we are. My role is to provide a supportive space where clients feel empowered to explore their experiences, challenge limiting beliefs, and cultivate self-awareness in a way that honors their learning style and individuality.
Therapeutic Approach & Philosophy:
- Empowerment & Autonomy – Growth begins when individuals recognize their ability to shape their own experiences. I encourage clients to take an active role in defining their needs, building self-trust, and developing a sense of control over their own healing. (Person-Centered & Existential Therapy)
- Reframing Life’s Story – We all carry narratives about who we are and how we move through the world. I help clients explore these stories with curiosity and reshape limiting narratives that may be holding them back. (Narrative Therapy)
- Mindfulness & Present Awareness – True healing occurs in the present. Through mindfulness-based interventions, I guide clients in cultivating self-awareness, reducing stress, and building resilience. (Mindfulness-Based & ACT)
Specialties & Areas of Focus:
- Trauma & PTSD – Supporting clients in processing past experiences while cultivating resilience.
- Anxiety & Stress Management – Helping individuals manage intrusive thoughts, overwhelming stress, and self-doubt.
- ADHD & Executive Functioning – Guiding individuals toward greater focus, organization, and self-regulation.
- Relationship & Boundary Work – Encouraging self-sufficiency, emotional resilience, and healthier interpersonal dynamics.
Therapeutic Modalities:
- Person-Centered Therapy (PCT) – Creating a warm, nonjudgmental space where clients feel fully heard and supported.
- Existential Therapy – Helping clients explore personal meaning, self-determination, and life’s uncertainties.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) – Addressing thought patterns that influence emotions and behavior.
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) – Encouraging clients to accept their experiences while committing to value-driven action.
- Narrative Therapy – Assisting clients in reframing their personal stories in a way that fosters empowerment and growth.
- Mindfulness-Based Interventions – Supporting emotional regulation through present-moment awareness.
